36 years ago, in July 1981, this Mercedes 500SLC (one of 1154) was sold new to its first owner in Switzerland. In 1987 At an odometer reading of 86.000 in 1986, the car sold to Mr. Bernet also in Switzerland. After Mr. Bernet passed away, his daughter did nod sell the car, but kept it in good condition parked in her garage. A little time ago however, she decided the time had come for a farewell, and we got in contact. So, now our showroom is enriched with this beautiful lightweight build classic. The 500SLC differs from the normal SLC by having an aluminum engine, hood, truck lid and bumpers. The car is still in great condition, has not been restored or rebuild, and as far as we can see, has not been driven during wintertime. Almost all of the km's driven (86.000) were made in the first 6 years, so up to 1987. As written above, after the dead of Mr. Bernet, the car was stored, but this was done under optimal condition. In 2011, the Mercedes 500SLC was brought back to life and 7.000 CHF was invested to bring the car up to date again, (all documented). Since then, the 500SLC has been used only sporadically, 6.000 Km in total. History includes the service book (2e, the first was not found again after Mr. Bernet died.) The original "Abgas book" however is still there, so there is a good and closed odometer reading history. Some maintenance bills are still available too.
